Continuing education
Course handouts: Handouts can be accessed through the Optometry's Meeting app as well as through the CE credit claiming platform. Visit optometrysmeeting.org for detailed instructions with guided images. Optometry's Meeting does not provide copies of CE handouts in session rooms.
Badge scanning: Live attendees will be self-scanning their badges upon arrival outside of each course room. If an attendee fails to scan their badge prior to entering the course room, their credit will not be accepted. The scan-in process will only allow attendees that registered for that course into the room. A standby line outside the room will allow those attendees that did not register for that course the potential to be added to the roster if there are seats available. The CE Monitors will inform those waiting standby if they will be able to scan their badges and enter the course room.
Pre-registration for courses: Registered attendees must be scanned and inside the course room five minutes prior to the start of the course. If a registered attendee is not in the room five minutes prior, their seat will be forfeited to attendees in the standby queue. Attendees who did not register for a course may join the standby line outside the course room for the potential opportunity to attend the course if there are seats available. There is no guarantee that an attendee in the standby line will be able to attend the course due to room capacity restrictions that have been dictated in advance.
CE transcript: Your CE transcript and certificate can be obtained online after the meeting. Additional details are available by visiting optometrysmeeting.org.
Livestream attendees: Livestream attendees will only be able to access courses for which they registered. If you wish to add additional courses, you must edit your registration prior to the course starting. NOTE: The livestream platform and the registration site have a delay due to processing, so it is in the attendee's best interest to make any schedule adjustments at least one hour prior to the course start time. An email will be sent 30 minutes before the start of your registered courses. The email will include a link to access your course.
