Optometry’s Meeting delivers a premier conference experience for optometry professionals. Here are several ways that attendees can save money but still gain access to this top-notch, professional experience.
5 ways to save on your Optometry’s Meeting experience
- Are you an AOA/AOSA member or associate member? Here is the easiest way to save on Optometry’s Meeting! As the annual meeting of both the AOA and AOSA, Optometry’s Meeting offers special member pricing—half off or more in some cases! So, too, AOA member doctors can enroll their staff as AOA associate members—at no cost to their AOA membership—to qualify for member pricing. Contact memberservices@aoa.org or visit aoa.org/join to start your membership today!
- Take advantage of early registration tiers! The next easiest way to save on Optometry’s Meeting: register for the meeting during the early-bird registration period, Jan. 22 through March 31, to receive the lowest registration rates.
- Are you eligible for a travel grant? Limited numbers of travel grants/scholarships will be made available for Optometry’s Meeting. Optometry students can check here to see what travel grants are currently available.
- Are you active military? In recognition of your service to our nation, Optometry’s Meeting offers a $150 discount for active military attendees on a full conference registration fee. Please contact optometrysmeeting@aoa.org for more information.
- Take advantage of housing and travel discounts! Optometry’s Meeting has many different hotel options to choose from and booking within the housing block will give you not only the best rates but also the closest rooms to the Music City Center. So, too, Optometry’s Meeting offers limited travel discounts—check back soon for more information.
Save on food, drink during Optometry’s Meeting
Optometry’s Meeting offers numerous symposium opportunities for attendees to receive a meal and hear from our industry supporters. Be sure to denote your interest in specific symposiums during the Optometry’s Meeting registration process (symposiums are seated on a first-come-first-served basis) and consult the symposium schedule.
- Daily: Fuel your Optometry’s Meeting experience with coffee and water stations available throughout the Music City Center and in the exhibit hall.
- Wednesday: Join an industry-sponsored lunch symposium to kick off your Optometry’s Meeting experience, then find food and beverage during the Exhibit Hall Opening Reception that evening.
- Thursday: Join an industry-sponsored breakfast or lunch symposium, then join us for breaks throughout the day in the exhibit hall where beverages and snacks will be provided. That evening, enjoy food and beverage during the AOSA Optometry Student Bowl.
- Friday: Join an industry-sponsored breakfast or lunch symposium, followed by light snacks and beverages throughout the day in the exhibit hall. That evening, experience the flavors of Music City with classic Nashville fare during Celebration of Optometry. And, young ODs can join a night of celebrating you during the Young OD Reception.
- Saturday: Last chance to join an industry-sponsored brunch or lunch symposium, as well as food and beverage offered as part of the last day of AOA+ Leadership Links (sign-up required).
