Designed for students and new doctors, AOA+ Pop-Ups are fast-paced, diverse and engaging educational sessions. Topics span from becoming an advocate for your profession to practice management, conquering student debt and interactive workshops. AOA+ Pop-Ups take place throughout Optometry's Meeting for optometry students and new doctors.

Squirming Patients 101
8:00-8:40 a.m.
8:50-9:30 a.m.
9:40-10:20 a.m.

This pop-up will start with a 15-minute presentation on the InfantSEE program and tips and tricks for pediatric eye exams. Then, students will break out into groups and watch a doctor do a live exam demonstration on an infant. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions and become more comfortable doing pediatric vision exams. This pop-up is sponsored by Johnson and Johnson Vision.

I Know I Should Network, but How???

Network, network, network. We all know that networking is important. But it's hard to find resources on how to actually do it. Today's networking is more than just taking your business cards to a conference. It's engaging and challenging, and (surprise!) it CAN be done no matter what your personality is. This Pop-Up will introduce you to the tools and tactics you'll need to create your optometry network.
